Hi! It’s been a while!! And by a while, I mean like a year (oops!!). But I am happy to be back, and thank you for reading. Time to catch everyone up a bit on my little life!

Quite a bit has happened since my last post:

- In October I moved out of downtown to live with a new roomie in a calmer part of town. It began with one of my lovely friends mentioning at dinner that her amazing co-worker, Anna, was on the search for a new roommate. At first I was a little nervous because we hadn’t met before, but we clicked instantly! When she gave me a house tour and I saw that my potential new room was painted baby pink, I knew it was meant to be. I was all moved in by the end of the month and it has truly turned out to be one of my best decisions yet! Anna is such a light and our home is so peaceful.

-In January I spontaneously adopted a three week old kitten! A co-worker from Niedlovs had found her outside his house, cold and crying in a puddle. It was a matter of three days in between hearing about her and taking her home. I named her Charlie and she is SO precious to me. Previously I haven’t had a pet that was my personal responsibility, and so I was a little nervous. But it is and has been so healing to be able to pour energy and love into a little creature and watch her thrive. She’s now about nine months and loves to play with her kitty brother Kokomo and sleep burrowed under my covers at night!

- This June I quit my job of two years! Okay, this one was kinda scary. A lot scary. Niedlovs was a large blessing and I met several of my dearest friends while working there! You know who you are :) I also met my sweet boyfriend while on shift there early last year! It was seriously a real life meet-cute, (maybe I’ll have to write a little story time on meeting Miles one of these days!). I had amazing co-workers that made me laugh every day. We bonded over mean customers, Saturday brunch rush and 6am opening shifts. My biggest reason for leaving was simply being ready for a break from food service. I was fifteen when I got my first coffee job, and that’s been my deal ever since! And I don’t even drink coffee. Anyways, here we are in September still unsure of what my career future holds… more on that another day!

-I got to visit Alaska this August with my brother Dawson and Miles! It was an unexpected but amazing trip. Although it rained every day, we were able to do lots of hiking, and most importantly spend time with our family that lives up there. Incase you didn’t know, my mom is from Alaska, and my family lived up there for three and half years! It was super meaningful to be able to spend so much quality time with my brother doing what he loves (exploring the great outdoors). It was challenging and exciting and memorable. It was also special to be able to show Miles where we had lived and experience the beauty that is Alaska with him for the first time.

-Last big-ish thing: I turned 22 at the end of August! Yay! It was such a special birthday, my favorite yet. I felt so treasured and loved. My roomie had surprised me with a cute card and some happies waiting on the counter for me when I woke up. Miles picked me up with my matcha order from my favorite place and a gorgeous bouquet. My mom made me my favorite breakfast, my sister Hannah wrote a precious letter. So much joy, all before 11am! Needless to say, 22 started off excellent :)

That is all I have for now! I appreciate you being here and taking the time out of your day to read this more than you know. My hope is to be slightly more regular and perhaps a little more casual. See you next time!

-Abigail <3
